Job summary

Fisher Investments is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join the Infrastructure Platform Team. You will reduce infrastructure risk by automating vulnerability remediation, building end-to-end tooling, and driving patch compliance across Windows and Linux.

You will design Ansible playbooks, PowerShell/Python scripts, and coordinate with security and operations teams to deliver scalable automation. This in-office role offers hybrid options based on performance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure and Operations.
• 5+ years in Server Management, including Windows and Linux.
• Enterprise patch management and server vulnerability remediation.
• Automation and Ansible playbook/role creation.
• Hands-on with vulnerability management platforms (Tenable/Qualys).
• Experience with patch tooling: Ivanti, WSUS, SCCM/MECM, Intune, Azure Update Manager.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Bachelor's degree in MIS, CS or related field.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a standardized patching process and an automated remediation framework.
• Design and implement Ansible playbooks and PowerShell / Python scripts for patching and configuration management.
• Analyze vulnerability findings, prioritize remediation by risk, and report progress.
• Coordinate remediation with Information Security, Infrastructure, and application teams.
• Perform patching across Windows and Linux to close findings and reduce backlog.
• Track remediation trends and provide metrics to leadership.
• Identify root causes and eliminate manual steps via automation.
• Provide on-call 24/7 support and off-hours maintenance as needed.
