Job summary

Whitefish Credit Union is seeking a Principal Infrastructure Administrator to support all systems and infrastructure across Kalispell, Missoula, and surrounding areas. The role involves project planning, documentation, and Tier 3 support within a collaborative IT team.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in infrastructure with MS environments, virtualization, and security policy experience, plus willingness to travel to branches. A Bachelor’s degree is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS or related subject.
• 5+ years related employment experience.
• Currently have (or willing to obtain within first 12 months) MCSA, Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent.
• 3-5 years managing networking infrastructure lifecycle (installations, configurations, upgrades).
• 1-3 years managing Windows and Linux/Unix based server systems.
• 1-3 years with Virtualization or SAN systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in team meetings and lead where appropriate.
• Execute project-related tasks from concept to completion.
• Maintain education and cross-training on infrastructure topics.
• Provide documentation and training when available.
• Evaluate infrastructure work requests and major projects.
• Provide management with system recommendations and diagrams.
• Troubleshoot outages and performance issues.
• Configure and install systems hardware for reliable operation.
• Plan and design infrastructure to meet changing needs.
• Develop and maintain network documentation and security policies.
• Travel to branch locations as required.
• Be available for on-call support as needed.
• Interact professionally with stakeholders.
