Job summary

Town of Glastonbury is seeking a full-time Information Technology professional in Glastonbury, CT to oversee enterprise infrastructure, networks, and security. The role focuses on ensuring reliability, cybersecurity, and efficient IT operations across town departments.

The candidate will administer servers, cloud services, and endpoint computing, while coordinating with vendors and providing responsive user support. This position is on-site with standard town benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in IT with five years of progressive IT infrastructure experience.
• Bachelor's degree in IT with two years of progressive IT infrastructure experience.
• Equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Administers enterprise infrastructure (servers, storage, virtualization, cloud services).
• Manages network services (LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, monitoring).
• Oversees cybersecurity, identity management, endpoint protection, and vulnerabilities.
• Coordinates deployment and maintenance of desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
• Supports enterprise applications and vendor coordination.
• Plans infrastructure improvements and technology standards.
