Job summary

Town of Glastonbury is seeking an Information Technology professional to administer and support the Town's enterprise infrastructure, networks, cloud services, and cybersecurity. The role focuses on ensuring security, availability, reliability, and lifecycle management of IT systems.

You will plan, implement, monitor, and maintain infrastructure, assist with enterprise applications, and coordinate with vendors and departments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and five years of progressively responsible experience administering enterprise IT infrastructure, or a Bachelor's degree with two years of experience.
• Experience with servers, storage, virtualization, cloud services, and network administration.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, identity management, endpoint protection, and disaster recovery.
• Ability to plan, implement, document, and coordinate infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Administers the Town's enterprise infrastructure including servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud services.
• Manages secure and reliable network services (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls).
• Oversees cybersecurity, identity management, endpoint protection, and vulnerability remediation.
• Supports enterprise applications, vendor coordination, and project planning.
• Maintains documentation, asset inventories, disaster recovery information, and service improvements.
