Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking an experienced Reliability Centered Maintenance Technician to monitor and optimize electrical systems across multiple plant facilities. The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, strong reading of technical manuals, and collaboration with operations, maintenance, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Seven years of hands-on electrical maintenance experience with industrial equipment (substations, switchgear, pumps, motors, drive systems).
• Ability to read and apply technical manuals; strong safety and environmental standards.
• Experience with Windows MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• ITC Level I certification or obtain within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment across SX/EW, Smelter, Water System, Concentrator, Crushing/Conveying, Rod Plant, Refining, Mine, Power System.
• Collect and analyze infrared, ultrasound, corona, and motor testing data using current tech.
• Load, dump and analyze ultrasonic data; build/update data sets and alarms/trends.
• Prepare reports and presentations; assist maintenance planning and CMMS workflows.
• Support RCM program development and mentor other personnel.
