Job summary

Northwood is seeking an senior infrastructure contributor to drive scope across the infrastructure stack, from framing ambiguous problems to design, implementation, and operation. You will set technical direction, write RFCs, and influence multi-year decisions while acting as the final on-call escalation point.

You will mentor engineers, partner with security and product teams, and help eliminate toil by addressing systemic issues.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production infrastructure experience (SRE, DevOps, platform, network, or systems engineering) with ownership of systems that remain operational over years.
• Strong depth in at least one area: Linux, networking, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, or secrets management.
• Senior on-call experience with a track record of design and automation to reduce toil.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive scope in areas of the infrastructure stack from framing through design, implementation, and operation.
• Set technical direction, write RFCs, evaluate tradeoffs, and influence long-term team decisions.
• Act as final on-call escalation, drive incident resolution, and lead post-incident reviews.
