Job summary

Genius Business Solutions Inc. (GBSI) seeks a cloud engineer to design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform with a strong emphasis on Kubernetes (GKE) and enterprise networking.

You will administer Kubernetes clusters, automate deployments with Helm and CI/CD tools, and design robust infrastructure using Terraform across Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, VPC, IAM and monitoring solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, deploying and managing secure cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Administration of Kubernetes clusters with focus on reliability and scalability.
• Automation of deployments using Helm, ArgoCD and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient in networking concepts, VPCs, IAM and monitoring.

Job Summary

The role is responsible for designing, deploying, and managing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with a strong focus on Kubernetes (GKE) and enterprise networking. The specialist will administer and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters, automate deployments using Helm and CI/CD tools, and ensure cluster health and performance. They will design and manage GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, VPC, IAM, and monitoring solutions, while implementing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform. In addition, the role requires deep expertise in networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS) and the ability to configure VPCs, routing, firewalls, load balancers, and hybrid connectivity. The position combines cloud engineering, Kubernetes administration, and advanced networking to deliver secure, resilient, and optimized cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Kubernetes / GKE

• Design, deploy, administer and troubleshoot Kubernetes (GKE) clusters.
• Manage namespaces, RBAC, Network Policies, Ingress Controllers, Services and Storage Classes.
• Perform cluster upgrades, patching, node pool management and capacity planning.
• Automate deployments using Helm, ArgoCD and CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor cluster health, availability and performance.
• Troubleshoot pod, deployment, service and ingress issues.

Networking

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS.
• Configure and troubleshoot VPCs, subnets, routing tables, NAT Gateways and firewalls.
• Design secure ingress and egress traffic flows.
• Manage Load Balancers, VPN, Hybrid Connectivity and DNS solutions.
• Diagnose network latency, packet loss and connectivity issues.
• Implement Zero Trust and network segmentation principles.
