Job summary

TriStarr Talent is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join a well-established financial institution in San Antonio to design, implement, and maintain its enterprise infrastructure. This is a senior, hands-on role with focus on reliability and project delivery.

You will work across networking, servers, virtualization, storage, backups, and disaster recovery, coordinating with teams and vendors to ensure secure, available systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of enterprise IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong Cisco LAN switching and routing skills.
• Experience configuring enterprise firewalls.
• Hands-on VMware administration proficiency.
• Working knowledge of Linux server administration.
• Experience with storage and backup technologies.
• Understanding of disaster recovery and availability.
• Ability to document designs and solutions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support enterprise infrastructure components.
• Support Cisco LAN switching and routing environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot enterprise firewall technologies.
• Administer VMware environments (vSphere/ESXi/vCenter).
• Maintain storage, backups, and disaster-recovery solutions.
• Serve as Tier III escalation resource for complex issues.
• Participate in infrastructure projects lasting 3–9 months.
• Create diagrams, plans, and documentation; ensure changes follow standards.
