Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Palo Alto is seeking a Senior Electrical Characterization Engineer to lead electrical validation for ECUs powering connected vehicles. You will own test plans, bench testing, and verification across multiple revisions, ensuring performance and production readiness.

Collaborating with Electrical Engineering teams, you will develop scalable test hardware/software, analyze data, and provide clear stakeholder reports.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrical characterization, validation, or design verification of electronic systems.
• Hands-on experience with ECU testing, preferably within infotainment or telematics systems.
• Strong background in bench testing, signal measurement, and lab instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed electrical characterization and validation test plans for ECUs across multiple versions and revisions.
• Perform bench-level electrical testing to validate design integrity, performance, and reliability.
• Own module-level design verification activities to ensure ECUs meet product and manufacturing requirements.
• Partner cross-functionally with Electrical Engineering teams to define test strategies and validation criteria.
• Support development of scalable test hardware and software automation frameworks.
• Analyze results and deliver clear, structured reporting to stakeholders, driving data-informed decisions.
