Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking an Infotainment & Telematics ECU Test Engineer in the Santa Clara area. You will perform bench testing, set up test benches, and validate ECU features across infotainment and Telematics systems.

You will analyze test results, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality automotive electronic systems.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on electronics bench testing and ECU testing experience.
• Knowledge of Infotainment and Telematics systems.
• Familiarity with automotive protocols CAN, LIN, Ethernet.
• Experience with test instruments such as multimeter and oscilloscope.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Basic ECU flashing/diagnostics knowledge.
• Fundamentals of electronics (Ohm's Law, V/I/R).
• Exposure to HiL testing or test benches.
• Exposure to Infotainment UI/UX testing, audio/video validation, connectivity features.

Responsibilities

• Perform bench-level testing and validation of Infotainment and Telematics ECUs.
• Set up and maintain test benches, validation environments, and lab equipment.
• Develop, execute, and document functional test cases from system requirements.
• Validate Infotainment features (audio, multimedia, connectivity, navigation, UI).
• Perform Telematics testing (network connectivity, modules, vehicle comms).
• Analyze results, identify defects, and track through closure.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues using diagnostic tools.
• Read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams; support ECU flashing.
• Coordinate with Hardware/Software/System Engineering and QA teams.
