Job summary

PBG’s McLean, VA office is seeking an experienced Senior Information Technology Project Manager to lead for a federal government client. You will manage an Agile/Scrum team, maintain the project plan, and ensure delivery meets cost, schedule, quality, and performance.

This senior role requires coordinating with COR/GTM, stakeholders, and a diverse team of developers, data scientists, and analysts to drive successful outcomes in a government setting.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in software development project planning and management.
  • Experience managing IT projects in Agile development and Scrum environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in statistics, CS, mathematics or related field.
  • Working knowledge of IT operations best practices.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Active Secret security clearance required prior to contract performance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single management focal point for contractor execution.
  • Keep COR and GTM apprised of significant issues timely.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the multidisciplinary project team.
  • Develop and maintain the project plan and schedule.
  • Coordinate across Government stakeholders, developers and analysts.
  • Drive teamwork and timely task completion across the team.
  • Lead Agile/Scrum project management practices and status reporting.
  • Conduct weekly status meetings and support reporting and deployment planning.
  • Oversee change log maintenance and government review readiness.
  • Support delivery of program artifacts and SOP development.

Location:

Hybrid - Washington, DC metropolitan area. Work will primarily support the client on-site in the Washington, DC area, with some work performed offsite at the contractor facility. Telework is available subject to coordination with the Government Technical Monitor (GTM) and completion of the client’s required telework agreement.

Contract:

Supporting a federal government client’s enterprise IT modernization program. Potential five-year period of performance, contingent upon contract award.

Clearance/Screening Requirements:

Active Secret security clearance required prior to contract performance. Contractor personnel must comply with the client’s security requirements and execute required nondisclosure agreements.

Position Summary:

PBG’s McLean, VA office is seeking an experienced Senior Information Technology Project Manager to lead project management and operations for a federal government client’s enterprise IT system. This Key Personnel role serves as the single management focal point for contractor execution in an Agile/Scrum environment, guiding the team, managing the project plan and schedule, communicating significant issues to Government leadership, and ensuring work meets cost, schedule, quality, and performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the single management focal point for contractor execution and maintain accountability for completion of all assigned tasks.
  • Keep the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and Government Technical Monitor (GTM) apprised of significant project, operational, technical, schedule, quality, or performance issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide strategic guidance, vision, and direction to the multidisciplinary project team.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain the project plan and schedule, ensuring tasks and deliverables meet cost, schedule, quality, and performance requirements.
  • Bridge business processes and technical solutions by coordinating across Government stakeholders, developers, analysts, data scientists, and other team members.
  • Drive teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment to timely task completion across the project team.
  • Lead and support Agile/Scrum project management practices, including planning, prioritization, coordination, and status reporting.
  • Conduct weekly status meetings with the COR and Product Owner and support reporting on progress, infrastructure and operations, upcoming enhancement releases, SOP development, and other performance matters.
  • Oversee maintenance of the change request log for enhancement requests, bug fixes, and other system changes, and ensure status is available for Government review.
  • Support preparation and timely delivery of the Monthly Status Report and other required program deliverables, including the project schedule, training plan, system documentation, release notes, and deployment planning artifacts.
  • Promote a customer-focused approach and effective coordination with the wide variety of client stakeholders who use or support the system.
Minimum Qualifications:
