Job summary

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager with experience in the oil and gas industry to lead complex, cross-functional technology initiatives. This individual will be responsible for managing projects from initial concept and planning through implementation and completion, serving as the primary Project Manager and owner throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has a strong track record of delivering enterprise IT projects, establishing project governance, driving business process integration efforts, and collaborating across multiple business and technology teams. Experience supporting composable enterprise initiatives and large-scale business transformation projects is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise IT projects from greenfield concept through implementation, deployment, and project closeout.
• Serve as the primary Project Manager responsible for project planning, execution, risk management, stakeholder communication, and delivery.
• Manage cross-functional initiatives involving business, operations, IT, and vendor teams.
• Establish and maintain project governance frameworks, standards, reporting, and controls.
• Drive business process integration efforts across multiple departments and business functions.
• Develop project charters, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and status reporting.
• Facilitate executive steering committees, project reviews, and governance meetings.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.Ensure projects align with business objectives and enterprise technology strategies.
• Support composable enterprise and business transformation initiatives focused on improving scalability, flexibility, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT Project Management experience leading large-scale enterprise technology projects.
• Experience serving as the lead Project Manager with full ownership of project delivery.
• Direct experience managing projects within the downstream or midstream oil and gas industry.
• Proven ability to lead projects from initial planning and business case development through implementation and completion.
• Strong knowledge of project governance, project controls, and delivery methodologies.
• Experience working across multiple business units and functional teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Experience with business process improvement, business process integration, and organizational transformation initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience managing ERP, operational technology, infrastructure, application, or business transformation projects within the energy sector.
