IMPACT Technology Recruiting is seeking a Temporary Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex engineering, technology, and sustainability projects. The role requires a strong background in project management, leadership, and a focus on delivering innovative solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, business administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 7–10 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a senior project management role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects within engineering, technology, or sustainability sectors.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with construction ERP systems such as Spectrum and/or Trimble.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans with scope, schedule, budget, risks, and resources.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Foster continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned.
  • Conduct regular status meetings and report to senior management.
  • Mentor junior project managers and team members.
  • Manage project budgets and report financial performance.
  • Utilize PM software to enhance planning, tracking, and reporting.

Job description

This role is expected to last approximately six (6) months to one (1) year and is classified as a temporary position. While there is a possibility of conversion to a regular, full-time role based on individual performance, business conditions, and organizational needs, there is no guarantee of continued employment beyond the initial assignment.

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage multiple high-impact projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, risk management strategies, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, technology, sustainability, and operations, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing lessons learned and best practices across projects.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide timely updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Effectively manage project budgets, track expenditures, and report on financial performance.
  • Utilize project management software and tools to enhance project planning, tracking, and reporting.
