Job summary

iVision Consulting is seeking a Senior IT Analyst to support the City of Annapolis, MD on-site in Annapolis, Maryland. The role covers software development, data reporting, documentation, supervision, and stakeholder engagement.

The candidate should have 5+ years in systems analysis and technology project management, strong SQL and RDBMS skills, MS 365 experience, and Munis administration knowledge. On-site work required with collaboration across teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience in systems analysis and technology project management, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database management systems.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 or equivalent enterprise office suite.
• Experience with Tyler EERP (Munis) administration preferred.
• Familiarity with payroll systems and government accounting terminology.
• Implementation experience in complex IT software projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, reviews, develops, and enhances software application projects and central software systems.
• Analyzes and evaluates current and proposed systems across the full development life cycle (planning, requirements, design, acquisition, development, integration, deployment, tuning, testing, and training).
• Translates business requirements into detailed system and program specifications.
• Performs application troubleshooting and implements solutions.
• Develops data reporting tools and performs analysis to deliver accurate, timely information.
• Evaluates long-range data requirements and produces cost analyses of potential IT initiatives.
• Recommends cost-effective, data-driven solutions that maximize resources and technology.
• Plans for equipment needs and recommends acquisition priorities.
• Prescribes corrective measures to ensure positive data flow from input to output.
• Prepares and directs documentation at all project stages, from planning through implementation.
• Ensures compliance with organizational standards relative to assignments.
• Supervises and participates in systems analysis, programming, and procedural development.
• Coordinates activities across systems, programming, and operational personnel.
• Facilitates meetings with vendors, stakeholders, and technical staff; liaison between functional and technical teams.
• Works with internal teams, clients, and vendors, providing subject matter expertise and hands-on implementation support.

What You Will Do:

Software Development & Systems

What You Need:

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience in systems analysis and technology project management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in SQL and relational database management systems (RDBMS)
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 or equivalent enterprise office suite applications
• Experience in Tyler EERP (Munis) administration preferred
• Familiarity with payroll systems, government accounting principles, and related terminology also preferred
• Implementation experience in complex IT software projects preferred

Leadership & Supervision

• At least 3 years of supervisory or team lead experience overseeing systems analysis, development, or implementation
