Job Summary:

The Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) plays a crucial role in maintaining and securing the organization's information systems by implementing and managing comprehensive security measures. You will support this exciting, large-scale, multi-year contract at our customer site in Annapolis Junction, MD. Our mission involves the development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of large collection systems. This prime contract is vital to the government and offers team members opportunities to work independently and explore emerging technologies. Responsibilities Include:
  • Provides aid to the program, organization, system, or enclave’s information assurance program.
  • Assists in proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
  • Maintains operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure policies, standards, and procedures are followed.
  • Supports the management of security aspects of the information system and performs daily security operations.
  • Evaluates security solutions to meet requirements for processing classified information.
  • Performs vulnerability and risk assessments to support certification and accreditation.
  • Provides configuration management for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Manages changes to systems and assesses their security impact.
  • Prepares and reviews documentation such as System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs).
  • Supports security authorization activities in compliance with NISCAP and DoD RMF.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security, or related field, with at least 7 years of relevant experience. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 7 years supporting IC or DoD programs and contracts of similar scope and complexity.
  • DoD 8570 compliance with IAM Level II or IAT Level III (e.g., CASP, CISSP, or Associate).
  • Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
