Job summary

Applied Research Solutions is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) for on-site work at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA. The role requires a Top Secret clearance and SAP background check, with responsibilities spanning RMF-based A&A, security architecture reviews, DevSecOps integration, and vulnerability management using industry standard tools.

The candidate should have DoD experience with 8570.01 certification and be ready to work in a DoD mission-focused environment.

Qualifications

• US citizen
• Ba/BS in Cybersecurity with 15+ years in cyber security and 5+ in DoD or MA/MS with 12+ years and 5+ in DoD or 20+ years with DoD focus

Responsibilities

• Support A&A for weapon systems and PIT Systems following RMF and DoD policies
• Recommend security policies to prevent unauthorized access
• Develop and track security measures for information systems
• Review architectures and suggest cybersecurity strategies
• Translate requirements into technical architectures
• Promote security awareness across management and program design
• Understand DevSecOps to check for security flaws during code review
• Understand Linux/Ubuntu/IoT and cloud development
• Plan and update Cyber Security Strategy within PPP and CPI/CC analysis
• Review Tempest requirements and disaster recovery procedures
• Experience with vulnerability and software scanning tools (STIGs, Nessus, ACAS, SCAP)
• Comment on Vendor CDRL items for cybersecurity and contribute to PM team
