DeNOVO Solutions, LLC seeks a Senior Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support a program that designs and evaluates security across applications, platforms, data, networks, cloud, and tactical edge environments from its Aurora, CO location. The role translates cybersecurity requirements into actionable controls and leads major technical workstreams.

The position requires a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and will coordinate with Government cybersecurity leadership to ensure

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as an ISSE.
• Experience supporting government programs, projects, or contracts.
• BS Degree in Information Technology or related discipline (or 2 extra years of software engineering).

Responsibilities

• Develop security architecture, trust boundaries, data flows, control allocations, and secure design patterns.
• Engineer identity, credential, access management, encryption, key management, network segmentation, endpoint, application, container, and cloud security controls.
• Perform threat modeling, attack-surface analysis, security trade studies, and risk assessments.
• Review software, hardware, data, API, and interface designs for security weaknesses and compliance gaps.
• Define security requirements, verification methods, test procedures, and acceptance criteria.
• Support Zero Trust implementation, cross-domain considerations, supply-chain security, and secure tactical edge operations.
• Analyze vulnerabilities and recommend remediation or compensating controls.
• Coordinate with architects, developers, administrators, ISSOs, assessors, and Government cybersecurity leadership.

DeNOVO Solutions is seeking a Senior ISSE to support a program that d esigns and evaluates system security architecture and engineering solutions across applications, platforms, data, networks, cloud, and tactical edge environments. This role translates cybersecurity requirements into implementable technical controls and validates that the integrated design achieves the intended risk posture. The Senior ISSE leads major technical workstreams, translates mission needs into executable plans, reviews the work of other team members, and owns quality, schedule, and technical outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop security architecture, trust boundaries, data flows, control allocations, and secure design patterns.
• Engineer identity, credential, access management, encryption, key management, network segmentation, endpoint, application, container, and cloud security controls.
• Perform threat modeling, attack-surface analysis, security trade studies, and risk assessments.
• Review software, hardware, data, API, and interface designs for security weaknesses and compliance gaps.
• Define security requirements, verification methods, test procedures, and acceptance criteria.

Required Tech Skills and Tools

Architecture and threat-modeling tools; vulnerability and code scanning; cloud and container security platforms; PKI/IAM tools; SIEM; network analysis; GRC repositories; security test tools

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting Army, DoD, Intelligence Community, or C5ISR programs; experience with classified environments, agile delivery, cloud-to-edge architectures, DDIL operations, and Government product demonstrations.

Desired Certifications

CISSP; Security+; CCSP; cloud security or architecture certification

Required Experience and Education

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as an ISSE
• Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting government programs, projects, or contracts
• BS Degree in Information Technology or related discipline. You may substitute the BS Degree requirement with 2 additional years of Software Engineering experience.

Salary Range

$140,000.00 to $155,000.00
Note: The above salary range is a guideline and represents a broad spectrum of potential compensation. We recognize that a candidate's unique experience and qualifications may justify compensation beyond this range. Therefore, we remain open to considering higher salary offers for exceptionally qualified candidates.
