Job summary

PLEXSYS is seeking an Information Systems Architect to define and design architectures for complex IS solutions supporting AWACS/ASC2/TACS training and ground systems. You will create secure networked architectures, apply RMF controls, and collaborate with management to meet technical, financial, and schedule goals.

The role requires DoD IAM Level I, a Bachelor's in a related field, and 7+ years in network security/architecture.

Qualifications

• Must meet DoD IAM Level I certification requirements.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Network Security, Computer Science, or related discipline with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience implementing security controls using NIST SP 800-53/53a/800-171 and CNSSI 1253.
• Experience developing and deploying Network System Architectures using SDN/NFV.
• Experience documenting system designs and providing technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing network and security architectures for IS projects.
• Develop traceable component requirements and write specifications.
• Manage customer expectations and drive requirement justification.
• Prepare technical proposals and presentations for new business.
• Design and deploy virtualized infrastructure and network solutions.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to users.
• Research external vendors to meet system requirements.
• Plan network layouts and ensure thorough documentation prior to delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure security and system requirements are met.
