Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS seeks a Network Architect SME to shape future-state network architecture for IC and government environments. You will collaborate with stakeholders, mission partners, and technical teams to define roadmaps, capacity plans, and implementation considerations.

The role emphasizes architecture planning, documentation, and presenting technical recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences, with a strong focus on secure, compliant connectivity.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance w/SCI eligibility is required.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field is required.
• 11–14 years of relevant network engineering/architecture experience in secure government environments.
• Active DOD 8140 IAT II level certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan future-state network architectures and roadmaps.
• Meet with stakeholders to gather mission needs and connectivity requirements.
• Develop and maintain network diagrams, schematics, and implementation plans.
• Estimate capacity, bandwidth, and infrastructure needs for current and future missions.
• Coordinate with IC providers and DoD/government teams on options and processes.
• Support RMF and ICD 503 planning and compliance inputs.
• Prototype, test, and validate network connections and interfaces.
• Prepare briefings and technical summaries for diverse audiences.
