Job summary

Cyber Defense Technologies is seeking an experienced ISSE for a DoW program in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This on‑site role provides security engineering, systems administration, and information assurance support, working with a small team to ensure the security posture of classified enterprise systems.

The candidate will lead site activities, perform continuous monitoring with Nessus/ACAS, Trellix, and Splunk, and coordinate with DISA/C5ISR. Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years deploying, configuring, maintaining, and monitoring computer systems and networks.
• Leadership experience within a small team of SysAdmins and InfoSec Engineers.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, Security+ or RHCSA preferred.
• Experience with DISA ACAS and Trellix certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, upgrade, and ensure readiness of classified enterprise systems and technologies.
• Provide senior‑level security engineering and development support across the system life cycle.
• Perform continuous monitoring and security testing with Nessus/ACAS, Trellix, Splunk Enterprise.
• Develop and maintain authorization/recertification documentation; support POA&Ms.
• Lead site‑level management duties for a small team of system administrators and engineers.
