Job summary

Cyber Defense Technologies (CDT) is seeking an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) onsite in Dayton, OH, supporting secure systems design, implementation, and risk management for DoD/IC-relevant programs.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5+ years of experience and security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+). Responsibilities include security design, incident response, forensics, and ongoing tool evaluation to strengthen posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ preferred.
• Experience in security engineering and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and implement secure operating systems, networks, security monitoring, and tuning.
• Manage IT security systems, incident response, digital forensics, loss prevention, and eDiscovery actions, conducting risk and vulnerability assessments, and developing and implementing security controls.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new security tools, techniques, and technologies in alignment with program security strategy.
• Identify and mitigate potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Perform regular security audits and recommend enhancement to improve overall security posture.
