Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Senior Information System Security Engineer to deliver security solutions for enterprise information systems and network architectures. You’ll tailor cutting-edge security to meet client requirements, ensuring systems, networks, and architectures are secure to support mission-critical operations.

As an ISS engineer, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is secure, protecting data flows across devices and supporting a range of clients

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience
• 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2) by date of security indoctrination
• Advanced Windows administration capabilities and Linux proficiency
• Experience with C2S Cloud, or DevOpsSec
• Experience with Special Access Programs (SAPs) and Intelligence Community

Responsibilities

• Provides technical expertise to ensure systems meet Information Assurance (IA) requirements and are properly accredited.
• Designs, develops, and recommends integrated security system and physical control solutions that will ensure proprietary/confidential data and systems are protected.
• Assist IA team in established Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) process using a RMF framework across the design lifecycle for classified systems obtaining and maintaining Interim Authorization to Test (IATT), Authority to Connect (ATC) and Authorization to Operate (ATO).
• Offers technical engineering services for the support of integrated security systems and solutions, managing information-related risks effectively.
• Works closely with the client during the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into actionable technical designs.
• Develop comprehensive system test plans (STP) to assess the security posture of the information systems.
• Analyze scan results and security findings to prioritize remediation efforts and implement corrective measures.

HOW AN INFORMATION SYSTEM SECURITY ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Works closely with the client during the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into actionable technical designs.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education: Bachelor Degree in an area applicable to this position
• Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience
• Advanced Windows administration capabilities and Linux proficiency
• Practical experience deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting security tools
• Experience with C2S Cloud, or DevOpsSec
• Required Technical Skills: Must be 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2) by date of security indoctrination with any necessary certifications.
• Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI and Poly
• Experience with: Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Trellix, Splunk, and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)’s.
• Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication, problem solving, team player
• Experience as an ISSO, ISSM, ISSE, or Security Controls Assessor.
• Experience with Special Access Programs (SAPs) and Intelligence Community.
• Location: On Customer Site

The likely salary range for this position is $161,500 - $218,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
