Job summary

PE Systems, Inc. seeks an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE), Senior, to support NC3 programs at Hanscom AFB, MA.

The role involves advising management on the effectiveness and sustainability of NC3 operations and coordinating security across the system lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have extensive NC3 knowledge, DoD cybersecurity experience, and the ability to lead security provisions for major defense programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS or MA/MS) and over 10 years of relevant experience.
• Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Top-Secret/SCI level.
• Proficient in Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate system security implementation activities for development, integration, and modification of mission-critical systems.
• Provide SME on acquisition security requirements and cybersecurity documentation per DoD guidance.
• Support System Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities throughout the system lifecycle.
• Assist with COMSEC certification efforts and related documentation.
• Support design, development, implementation, and integration of IA, cybersecurity, and cryptographic architectures.
• Serve as PMO SME for system security implementation and security compliance activities.
• Ensure IA security protections and cybersecurity controls are incorporated into system design.
• Conduct technical reviews of system architectures and cybersecurity controls.
• Perform non-technical program and compliance reviews for security requirements.
• Support development and test activities via audits, assessments, and verifications.
• Apply security systems engineering across hardware, software, OS, networks, and apps.
• Assess OS security features, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigations.
• Perform IA and cybersecurity vulnerability testing to reduce system risk.
• Support cryptographic engineering, including requirements, design, implementation, and certification.
• Ensure cryptographic solutions comply with NSA/CSS policies and standards.
• Implement security and Program Protection measures for defense programs.
• Assist in developing PPPs and related security documentation.
• Provide cybersecurity expertise for government contracts and acquisition efforts.
• Develop and maintain security controls and RMF documentation.
• Support compliance with DoD and Federal cybersecurity requirements.
