Job summary

Job description

Responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of security architectures. Responsible for technical and specialized duties in the areas of security framework, architecture design, risk management, incident management, vulnerability management, information security program, and technology implementations, to improve the overall security posture of the organization.

Oversee the implementation of network and computer security and ensure compliance with corporate cybersecurity policies and procedures.

Responsible for the identification and validation of controls to meet cybersecurity requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related network devices.

Ensure the security infrastructure is built to meet security and availability requirements.

Build capability roadmaps with security architects to ensure ongoing compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.

Lead the design and deployment of security technology. Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure timely and standards-compliant builds.

Document end-to-end security solutions and ensure their completeness.

Identify necessary changes to security infrastructure to address evolving threats and attack surfaces.

Participate in intrusion investigations and conduct forensic analyses as needed.

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on technical information security experience
• Expert-level knowledge of security principles and technologies
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing various security solutions across disciplines
• Broad experience with risk and threat assessment methodologies
• Ability to balance business needs with risk considerations and communicate effectively with leadership
• Experience with security controls to meet compliance standards like HIPAA, PCI, ISO 27001
• Strong skills in identifying and analyzing vulnerabilities
• Experience with network and application security testing and remediation
• Ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels and interpret complex initiatives
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical skills for complex issues and solutions
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment

Salary Ranges: $84,000.00 - $141,750.00
