Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to contribute to the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise security systems. You will document system security requirements, evaluate new technologies, and support incident response and change management processes.

The role requires hands-on administration of endpoint protection, NAC, DLP, and firewall tools, with a focus on maintaining secure configurations and timely remediation.

Qualifications

• Six years of IT, network, or security engineering experience.
• Direct experience administering security systems such as endpoint protection, NAC, web filtering, DLP, vulnerability scanners and firewalls.
• Experience in operational roles supporting IT systems, networks, or applications.
• Baseline security-related certifications (A+, Security+, Network+ or equivalent).
• Proficient in reading and following written instructions and communicating with end-users.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security systems and controls.
• Identify and document security requirements for solution selection.
• Evaluate new security technologies and process improvements.
• Configure, maintain, and monitor security tools and platforms.
• Support Level I Security Engineers with tickets and changes.
• Review alerts and respond per procedures (triage, mitigate, escalate).
• Collaborate with vendors and services for security technologies.
