Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior network engineering leader to drive strategy, architecture, and delivery of secure network solutions across data centers and interconnect sites. You will oversee planning, design, configuration, and integration of next-generation technologies while advising leadership on cross-domain technical needs.

The role requires extensive experience in load balancing, scripting, software development, and working within large enterprise environments.

Qualifications

7+ years of Engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
7+ years of experience in load balancing technologies with vendors like F5, AVI, A10, NetScaler, AWS ELB, or Azure Load Balancer, or firewall technologies such as Palo Alto and Fortinet.
5+ years of Software Development experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
5+ years of advanced scripting experience using Ansible, Terraform, Python, YAML, Java, or PL-SQL.
2+ years of experience with source version control using GitHub or similar.
Experience creating and/or updating technical design documentation used by engineering teams.
Agile methodology experience.
Experience working in a large enterprise environment.
BS/BA degree or higher in information technology or equivalent work experience accepted.
Experience in process improvement (6 Sigma), solution implementation, and change management.

Responsibilities

Lead the strategy, architecture, and delivery of secure network solutions in data centers and interconnect sites.
Own end-to-end lifecycle including planning, solution development, design, configuration, and integration of next-gen secure network technologies.
Advise leadership on applications, network, information security, databases, operating systems, and web technologies for complex needs.
Lead resolution of highly complex challenges across multiple areas or the enterprise.
Translate advanced technology experience and business objectives into technical engineering solutions.
Provide vision, direction, and expertise to leadership on innovative business solutions.
Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and recommend operational or competitive innovations.
Engage strategically with professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership.
Mentor and elevate other engineers.
Drive improvements in network reliability, service resilience, operational maturity, and stability of critical enterprise network services.
