Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Senior Information Security Analyst to join the Cybersecurity team. You will vet software, support RMF, NIST SP 800-171, and CMMC compliance, and help maintain security configurations across enterprise systems.

Responsibilities include handling Tier 1/2/3 help desk tasks, risk assessments, and documentation development. The role requires independent work, strong communication, and willingness to grow with the team in a hybrid office environment.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, IT, CS, or related field—or equivalent work experience.
• Active Security+ certification (or must obtain within six months of onboarding).
• Solid understanding of multiple cybersecurity domains and their implementation/documentation.
• Strong English language skills, verbal and written; excellent communication and customer service.
• Familiarity with frameworks/regulatory requirements (NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, ISO 27001).
• Strong time/task management; able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to learn and contribute.

Responsibilities

• Tier 1/2/3 Cyber help desk duties with strong customer engagement.
• Vet software for production network inclusion/exclusion.
• Perform security posture checks and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Assist with RMF, NIST SP 800-171, and CMMC compliance documentation.
• Escalation of issues to the appropriate engineer or manager when appropriate.
• Maintain and develop InfoSec team process documentation.
• Collaborate with IT and Cybersecurity teams to align configurations.
• Analyze email and coordinate with Cyberoperations on suspicious communications.
• Growth-oriented role with opportunity to take on new responsibilities.
