Job summary

NextGen Healthcare seeks a Sr. Specialist I, Information Operations to lead field engineering, ensure availability of enterprise networks, and oversee technical operations across a regional client network.

Based in Montgomery County, MD (Bethesda/Rockville) with travel to Northern Virginia, you will coordinate with vendors and manage complex networking and security tasks to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years' experience with firewall systems and networking (Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, Palo Alto).
• Proficiency with SolarWinds Orion or similar, DNS and DHCP; experience with VPNs and security.
• Ability to work onsite in the Bethesda/Rockville area with travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead field engineering and ensure reliability of enterprise network and security systems.
• Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN, routers, switches, VPNs, firewalls, and backup devices.
• Provide remote/on-site support; troubleshoot LAN/WAN issues with vendors and manufacturers.
• Create documentation and performance reports; monitor system performance and downtime.
