Job summary

UNMAS Syria is seeking an Information Management and Analytics Senior Analyst to lead the IM Unit in Damascus. The role oversees prioritization, QA, SOP development, and alignment with international mine action standards, delivering timely, actionable information to stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has an advanced degree in IT/IM with 2+ years of relevant experience or a bachelor’s with 4+ years, plus experience with IMSMA, SQL, and data governance. Fluency in English and Arabic is expected.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with 2 years of relevant experience or First-level degree with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in information management support, data governance and data quality.
• Familiarity with databases, data migration, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Information Management Unit, prioritizing requests and ensuring quality control.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, align IM practices with Mine Action Standards, and provide technical guidance to the IM team.
• Coordinate with national authorities, UN entities, and partners; oversee data migration to IMSMA Core.
• Document IM processes, monitor the IM workplan, and ensure timely delivery of information to stakeholders.
• Support data quality standards and dashboard/report/map production.
