Job summary

Telos Corporation in Reston, VA is seeking a Senior Information Assurance/Security Engineer to protect vital IT assets in cyber, cloud, and enterprise security. The role offers an excellent compensation package with benefits and salary commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate must have an active TS/SCI with CI polygraph, a Bachelor's degree with 5–7 years' experience, and DoD 8570-M CSP certifications such as CEH/CHFI/CFR/Cloud+ or CND before start.

Qualifications

• Provide quality customer support via in-person, email, and phone.
• Develop workflow templates aligned to customer processes.

This position will be based at Reston, VA

Responsibilities

• Learn, operate, and administer Xacta IA Manager Software Suite.
• Ensure technical security benchmarks are maintained. Analyze Xacta system Nessus scans, conduct remediation/system patching and installation of security patches.
• Provide quality customer support. Interact daily in person, via email and phone conversations with a large user base to provide Xacta software and Risk Management Framework support.
• Develop workflow templates to align with customer business processes and practices.
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operational performance and streamline customer Risk Management Framework workflow processes.

Job Requirements

• Active TS/SCI Security Clearance with CI Polygraph
• Bachelor's Degree and 5 - 7 years' experience
• Must possess IAT LVL II AND one of the DoD 8570.01-M Cybersecurity Service Provider - Infrastructure Support Certifications such as: CEH, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND certification prior to start date
• Hiring preference will be given to candidates with an additional AWS Solutions Architect, or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification
• Experience STIG'ing enterprise systems
• AWS/C2S Linux experience
• Experience conducing system patching (security patch, upgrades)
• Experience analyzing Nessus scans and conducting remediations actions
• Experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex technical issues.
• User/Administrator experience with one of the following highly desired: Xacta, Archer, eMASS, or other enterprise Cyber Risk Management tool
• Experience with querying Database Management Systems such as MSSQL or PostgreSQL highly desired.
• Experience with scripting languages such as PHP, Python, or Apache Velocity highly desired.
• Ability to develop Java Script Object Notation (JSON) API Solutions highly desired.
• Configuration Management & basic IT Systems Administration experience required.
• Risk Management Framework cloud security requirements highly desired.
• Must possess strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work tasks autonomously.
• Demonstrated ability to work with staff located in geographically disparate areas.
• A professional attitude regarding attention to detail and customer service and excellent organizational skills are required.
• Ability to pay strict attention to detail with an emphasis on high quality of deliverables
