Job summary

Telos Corporation, in collaboration with Archer, seeks a highly qualified security professional for a hybrid role based in Charleston, SC. The candidate will perform security assessments, analyze SCAP outputs, and communicate security posture to clients, while adhering to DoD clearance requirements.

The role requires DoD Secret Clearance, DoD 8570 IAT II certification, and 10+ years in IT with NIST RMF experience. Excellent written and verbal communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline and 5–7 years of experience, or equivalent.
• DoD 8570 (IAT Level II) certification required.
• 10+ years of IT experience.
• Experience with NIST 800-53.
• Experience with RMF and NIST 800-37.
• Experience with Continuous Monitoring & Ongoing Authorization.
• Knowledge of SCAP and review of SCAP-compliant tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing assessments of information systems security requirements, perform STIG analysis.
• Define metrics and reporting strategies to communicate security posture to the client.
• Present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Review scan information from outputs such as ACAS, HBSS, and IP subnets.
• Analyze HBSS output and configuration.
• Review and update information security posture within eMASS.

This position will be Hybrid remote and onsite based at Charleston SC

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing assessments of information systems security requirements, perform STIG analysis
• Highly motivated self-starter that can run objectives to completion on their own
• Define metrics and reporting strategies that effectively communicate security posture to the client
• Present complex, technical information to both technical and nom-technical audiences
• Review scan information from various outputs such as ACAS, HBSS, IP subnets
• Analyze Host Based Security System (HBSS) output and configuration
• Review and update information security posture within eMASS

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline and 5-7 years of experience, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience
• DoD 8570 (IAT Level II) certification is required.
• 10+ years of IT experience is required
• Experience with NIST 800-53
• Experience with the Risk Management Framework, NIST 800-37
• Specific experience in Continuous Monitoring & Ongoing Authorization
• Knowledge of Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) and experience in reviewing results from SCAP compliant tools.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels are required
• A professional attitude regarding attention to detail and customer service and excellent organizational skills are required
