Job summary

Telos Corporation in San Antonio is seeking a Senior Information Assurance Engineer to lead RMF A&A efforts across DoD environments. You will implement security controls, perform assessments, and prepare artifacts including SSPs and RARs while coordinating with customers.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, DoD 8140 compliance, and 8–10 years of related experience in RMF/NIST/FISMA. Travel and autonomous work are possible as needed.

Qualifications

• Active TS/ SCI clearance required.
• DoD 8140 compliance and security controls familiarity.
• Bachelor’s in IT/Cyber Security or equivalent experience (8–10 years).
• 5+ years RMF/NIST/FISMA/POA&M experience or senior SME level.
• Experience with cloud environments and cybersecurity requirements.
• Experience with RMF A&A processes and related artifacts.
• Ability to develop, execute and document security test plans.
• Knowledge of DoD security hardening and vulnerability remediation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple RMF projects.

Responsibilities

• Learn and implement Xacta IA Manager and eMASS for RMF A&A data.
• Support day-to-day RMF activities for multiple classification levels.
• Conduct walkthroughs to collect artifacts for RMF A&A and continuous monitoring.
• Plan and execute security control assessments per client policies.
• Produce SSPs, RARs, POA&M portions, vulnerability reports.
• Develop and manage RMF projects in DAF and AF IC environments.
• Gather FedRAMP artifacts for risk decisions.
• Perform system auditing, vulnerability assessments, and investigations.
• Create system documentation for authorization and monitoring.
• Provide cybersecurity training and risk mitigation guidance.
• Interface with customers to capture requirements and resolve issues.
