Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Information Assurance Security Engineer (IASE) / Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support a mission-driven enterprise in Suitland, MD. This hands-on role focuses on securing, administering, hardening, and maintaining critical systems while collaborating with network, security, and architecture teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of security engineering experience with DoD RMF and NIST.
• Experience with IC/DoD processes, tools, and A&A.
• 5+ years coding in Java/C/C++ and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary security engineering resource for enterprise infrastructure.
• Research and evaluate cybersecurity tools and methodologies.
• Participate in architecture reviews and provide security recommendations.
• Troubleshoot security issues across storage, network, and OS.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Configure secure access using SSH/TLS, RBAC, and centralized authentication.
• Develop and deliver cybersecurity training.
