Job summary

Ignite Digital is seeking an Information Systems Security II in the Washington, DC area to support a cybersecurity project for the U.S. Navy. The role focuses on evaluating, securing, and maintaining enterprise IT protection posture with deep IA and DoD policy knowledge.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in CS, DoD TS/SCI eligibility, and seven years of security experience, including five in IA. Salary starts around $115k+. Applicants must pass a government security investigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science required.
• Seven years of professional experience in information security or IA.
• Experience with DoD/NSA-like environments and federal cybersecurity standards.

Responsibilities

• Gather and organize technical information related to mission needs, IT infrastructure, and security/IA products.
• Help develop security and IA policies, procedures, and standards aligned with DoD & federal requirements.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders to assess risks and secure networks across system boundaries.
• Evaluate security products, tools, and controls for compliance with mission requirements.
• Contribute to enterprise-level IA planning and security posture reviews.
