Ignite Digital seeks an experienced Internal Auditor to support federal government projects in the National Capital Region. The role emphasizes risk assessment, internal control testing (SOC-1/SOC-2), and clear reporting.

A Secret clearance is required, with on-site client work and potential hybrid telework. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential in a dynamic government contracting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in internal audit.
• Experience with internal control testing, risk assessments, and evaluating control frameworks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• CIA/CPA or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential risks related to financial reporting and systems.
• Perform test of design and test of effectiveness on internal controls (SOC-1 and SOC-2)
• Identify deficiencies or weaknesses and ensure remediation.
• Document testing procedures, results, and control gaps.
• Lead process walkthroughs with stakeholders and document processes.
• Prepare audit reports communicating findings and recommendations.
• Present audit results to management and follow up on corrective actions.
