Job summary

Blue Ridge Automation seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to design and implement data-driven solutions for customers, leveraging controls and software in manufacturing. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver insightful analytics, UI/UX, and scalable IT/OT integrations.

Responsibilities include integrating PLCs, IIoT edge devices, SCADA, MES, and ERP systems, reducing errors, and optimizing plant-floor operations through data relationships and proactive decision-making.

Qualifications

• Strong time management and ability to follow standards and daily tasks.
• Active contribution to solution design, architecture, development, and deployment of projects.
• Experience with Agile and SCRUM in solution design and delivery.
• Ignition knowledge and familiarity with its modules.
• Strong SQL experience (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB).
• Experience in UI/UX design and cross-platform software navigation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimize data analytic solutions and UI/UX for customers.
• Collaborate with customers to integrate solutions focused on efficiency and compliance with standards.
• Implement and support HMI/SCADA, MES, Recipe Management, Batch & Product Run tracking, ERP, and other IT/OT solutions.
• Optimize solutions using data analytics and data relationships.
• Understand and troubleshoot manufacturing software at mid-to-high level.
• Reduce manufacturing mistakes through error-proofing and interlocking concepts.
• Research new features and technologies for solution concepts.
• Build and use company standards for the applicable created solutions.
• Integrate application solutions with manufacturing industrial solutions (PLCs, IIOT, SCADA).
