Job summary

Kane Partners LLC in the Baltimore region is seeking a Project Engineer to support industrial mechanical construction from estimating through field execution. The role spans office and site work, with opportunities to grow into leadership on multiple projects.

Senior-level candidates with 5+ years and strong knowledge of process piping, equipment installation and structural systems are preferred, while early-career engineers may join our Entry-Level track in the greater Baltimore area.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant industrial construction, project engineering or project management experience.
• Experience with industrial mechanical construction.
• Experience working with drawings, RFIs and submittals.
• Estimating, scheduling and cost-control experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with ASME codes and welding processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily with project, operations and field leadership on active and upcoming projects.
• Support multiple industrial construction projects from planning through completion.
• Assist with project buyout, material procurement and subcontractor coordination.
• Track material deliveries and align with project schedules.
• Review project specs, drawings and technical requirements.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, approvals and project documentation.
• Monitor project costs and assigned budgets.
• Assist with owner and subcontractor applications for payment.
• Participate in pre-construction and progress meetings.
• Work with field supervision to develop and execute construction plans.
• Visit project sites to monitor progress and project requirements.
• Communicate schedules, progress and issues to leadership and clients.
• Assist with estimating new projects, including material takeoffs and labor costs.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Help prepare proposals with scope and exclusions.
• Support installation planning for piping, equipment and supports.
• Troubleshoot project and field issues as they arise.
