Job summary

Hargrove & Associates Inc. in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Project Buyer to lead procurement for heavy industrial projects, including chemical, refining, and power sectors.

You will develop bid packages, submit RFQs, evaluate proposals, negotiate terms, and award purchase orders. You will also expedite vendor data and equipment, develop procurement plans, mentor junior staff, and help establish strategic sourcing agreements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in industrial supply chain procurement for heavy industry.
• Experience with project procurement in chemical, refining, or power sectors preferred.
• CPSM certification highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop bid packages and RFQs for multiple projects.
• Evaluate commercial proposals and negotiate terms and conditions.
• Award purchase orders and expedite vendor data and equipment.
• Develop procurement plans to support projects.
• Mentor junior procurement staff and contribute to strategic sourcing.
• Develop strategic sourcing agreements.
