The Weitz Company is seeking an Industrial/Mechanical Preconstruction Manager with a strong background in industrial construction, piping, and power/energy projects. The role focuses on delivering preconstruction services, predicting cost and schedule, and guiding the project team through design and hand-off to operations.

You will lead the preconstruction process, collaborate with design consultants, and ensure profitability while maintaining rigorous documentation and client communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum eight years of estimating or project management in industrial construction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accuracy of estimating, scheduling, strategy, and communication across preconstruction.
• Coordinate with partners to plan and budget safety on each project.
• Lead preconstruction meetings and ensure smooth hand-off to operations.
• Build positive relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
