Job summary

Socket.dev on 1st shift is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to diagnose and repair mechanical equipment. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble machines with minimal instruction and support production by redesigning and installing industrial machinery.

You will inspect equipment, diagnose faults, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime while aligning with continuous improvement principles.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years experience in an industrial/manufacturing mechanic role.
• Forklift license required.
• Driver's license required.
• Journeyman's card desirable.
• Aerial Lift certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test machinery; perform preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures through disassembly and inspection.
• Determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors for parts and costs.
• Repair using alternative methods; follow up on repairs.
• Develop and perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
