Pitney Bowes in Levittown, PA is seeking a Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift to troubleshoot, repair, and service complex electromechanical equipment including conveyors and PLC systems. Responsibilities include electrical/mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and rapid response to breakdowns.

The role requires hands-on expertise, reading schematics, and proficient use of testing tools with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work 80% in a standing/bending

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ direct experience troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment.
• Strong familiarity servicing conveyor machines, PLC systems, and other electromechanical production equipment.
• Experience using a multimeter or any other electronic testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, charts, service manuals, and parts diagrams.
• Familiarity with Windows PC environments as they pertain to automated equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under deadline pressures.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex mechanical and electronic repairs of conveyer machines, PLC systems, and other electromechanical production equipment (Mail Sorters/ Printers)
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, and installations on industrial machinery including belt/pulley systems, hydraulic and pneumatic components, motors, photo-eyes, relays, drive assemblies, limit switches, proximity sensors, and solenoids.
• Complete preventative maintenance according to industry quality standards
• Respond to equipment breakdown or emergency situations.
• Utilize inventory, pm schedule, and work order systems to effectively reduce downtime.
• Maintain the spare parts/supply inventory utilizing Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
• Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner.
• Utilize a tablet to track assigned work and machine downtime as well as inventory used in repair.
• Perform all additional duties as required.
