Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking an Information Application Development Engineer/Architect to craft modern industrial apps across OT and IT, enabling Connected Enterprise and IIoT through co-innovation with customers.

Responsibilities include pre- and post-sale technical support, rapid prototyping, and developing APIs, microservices, and web apps using Logix, Optix, DataMosaix, Plex and Fiix within hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and legal authorization to work in the US.
• Willingness to apply modern OT/IT integration practices and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications using Logix Designer and FactoryTalk Optix.
• Build edge-to-cloud integrations using DataMosaix, Plex, and Fiix.
• Develop APIs, microservices, and modern web applications.
• Use time-series databases and data visualization tools.
• Develop requirements from manufacturing systems understanding.
• Define architectures from Logix control layer to cloud.
• Align control data models with enterprise and cloud solutions.
• Apply cloud-native and event-driven architectures.
• Improve adoption of OPC UA standards.
• Design data models using Smart Objects, FT Optix and FT DataMosaix.
• Integrate Logix, historian, and enterprise data.
• Promote analytics and predictive use cases.
• Logix Designer and FactoryTalk Design Studio.
• Industrial automation systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA).
• FactoryTalk Optix, DataMosaix, Plex, and Fiix.
• Translate complex architectures into solutions.
