Job summary

Rockwell Automation, a global leader in industrial automation and digital transformation, is seeking a senior architect to design agentic engineering frameworks and define architectures for PLC, HMI, SCADA, and MES systems. You will translate domain expertise into reusable AI-enabled skills and guide customers on coding standards and governance.

The role requires at least eight years in industrial automation or software engineering and a Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

You will have Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent.
8+ years of experience in industrial automation, software engineering, or digital manufacturing solutions.

Responsibilities

Design and implement agentic engineering frameworks for industrial automation.
Define architecture and integration of agents, skills, workflow orchestration, MCP services and reusable libraries.
Transform domain expertise and workflows into reusable AI-enabled skills.
Develop methodologies to convert customer standards into agent-executable processes.
Create reference architectures for AI-assisted development, testing, documentation, code generation, and validation workflows.
Advise customers on Automation Code Standards adoption.
Assess current automation architectures, libraries, workflows, and governance models.
Define coding guidelines, naming conventions, modular practices, testing strategies, and lifecycle processes.
Establish reusable architectures for PLC, HMI, SCADA, analytics, and digital manufacturing apps.
Facilitate workshops to align standards across engineering teams.
