Job summary

Davis & Floyd, Inc. is actively seeking an Industrial Hygienist to join our team in SC. The role involves hazardous building material surveys and inspections, including asbestos, lead-based paint, and indoor air quality assessments at our Columbia, Greenville, or Greenwood offices.

The successful candidate will support environmental and civil engineering services, interact with agencies and clients, and help grow the department through business development and marketing strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science or related field.
6–8 years’ experience.
Familiarity with federal, state, and local agency regulations.
Experience in AutoCAD or GIS.
Valid drivers’ license and acceptable driving record required.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Perform or assist with asbestos, lead-based paint, and other hazardous material surveys
Interact with local and state environmental agencies, direct communication with clients, and develop internal and external marketing strategies to assist in department growth
Asbestos and lead-based-paint abatement and demolition planning
Ability to perform business development, sales, and client management is required
Prepare environmental compliance audits, compliance reports and plans, and other technical documents
Due Diligence (Phase I/Phase II ESA’s)
