Job summary

Davis & Floyd is seeking a highly motivated Industrial Hygienist to join our team. This position can be based in our Columbia, Greenville, or Greenwood, SC office and will perform hazardous building material surveys and inspections for asbestos, lead-based paint, and indoor air quality assessments.

You will work with a multidisciplinary environmental and civil engineering firm and contribute to department growth through client interaction, business development, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science or related field.
• 6–8 years of experience.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local agency regulations.
• Experience in AutoCAD or GIS.

Responsibilities

• Perform or assist with asbestos, lead-based paint, and other hazardous material surveys.
• Interact with local and state environmental agencies, direct communication with clients, and develop internal and external marketing strategies to assist in department growth.
• Asbestos and lead-based-paint abatement and demolition planning.
• Ability to perform business development, sales, and client management is required.
• Prepare environmental compliance audits, compliance reports and plans, and other technical documents.
• Due Diligence (Phase I/Phase II ESA’s).
