Terracon Consultants, a nationwide engineering consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Occupational/Industrial Hygienist to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This position involves airborne chemical monitoring, noise monitoring, indoor air quality surveys, asbestos and lead-based paint surveys, safety audits, and other activities. Role Overview

The Senior Occupational/Industrial Hygienist will perform complex occupational health and industrial hygiene tasks, including developing, implementing, maintaining, and enforcing regulations, policies, and programs to identify, evaluate, control, and prevent workplace hazards. This role also serves as a project manager and technical advisor on occupational health and safety.

Job Responsibilities

• Implement and manage industrial hygiene programs to ensure employee and public safety.
• Perform technical tasks across various industrial hygiene disciplines to comply with EH&S standards and regulations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain industrial hygiene programs, systems, and procedures.
• Recommend process, design, and procedural improvements to minimize hazards.
• Develop and conduct employee training programs.
• Provide regulatory interpretation and technical advice.

Minimum Requirements

• 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Certification as an Industrial Hygienist or ability to obtain within 1-2 years (preferred).
• Master’s degree (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
• This position is based in Raleigh, NC, supporting projects throughout North Carolina and the Southeast as needed.
