General Responsibilities:

Investigate sites to identify physical or environmental risks. Conduct field studies such as airborne chemical monitoring, noise monitoring, indoor air quality assessments, asbestos surveys, and Phase I preliminary site assessments. Develop sampling strategies and outline analysis requirements. Research regulatory standards and hazard data. Evaluate sampling results. Prepare risk assessment reports and develop recommendations for environmental improvement. Present findings and report recommendations to clients.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Develop understanding of project-related risks and be aware of potential issues to protect the company.
2. Lead safety efforts for the team, ensure adherence to safety rules, and promote a safe work environment through pre-task planning.
3. Monitor and improve project quality standards and practices.
4. Maintain consistent quality standards in project and proposal delivery.
5. Lead complex projects using innovative investigation techniques as a senior industrial hygiene professional.
6. Supervise analysis and the formation of recommendations in written reports.
7. Assist in establishing and updating policies and procedures for technical projects.
8. Provide technical guidance and training to less experienced staff.
9. Participate in developing marketing strategies and client presentations.
10. Serve as a Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.
2. 8-11 years of experience minimum.
3. Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
4. Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
5. Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
6. Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer status required.

Preferred Certification:

• Authorized Project Reviewer status preferred.
