Matrix New World Engineering, part of True Environmental and its partner firms, seeks a highly experienced Senior Industrial Hygiene Technician/Project Manager to lead IH and regulatory building materials projects in the New York metro area.

You will oversee complex field assignments for asbestos, lead, and mold, mentor junior staff, draft technical reports, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.

Qualifikationen

• AS or BS degree in IH, Environmental Science, Safety, or related field is strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of dedicated experience in asbestos, lead paint, mold, and general IH field monitoring.
• Advanced IH certifications (NYSDOL Asbestos Project Monitor/Air Sampling Technician, Mold Assessor, Lead Risk Assessor/Inspector, NYCDEP Asbestos Investigator) are required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and participate in DOT-regulated random testing.

Aufgaben

• Lead complex field assignments including asbestos, lead, mold monitoring and IH exposure assessments.
• Act as lead site technician and liaison for large-scale projects, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Conduct site investigations, risk assessments, and final clearance inspections with minimal oversight.
• Draft technical field reports, data summaries, and regulatory documents for review by PM/CIH.
• Mentor junior staff on sampling techniques, abatement procedures, and regulatory interpretation.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state/local EHS regulations across projects.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot IH monitoring equipment.
