Job summary

Austin Industrial in Taylor, TX is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our industrial maintenance team. You will perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on HVAC equipment, including cooling towers, compressors, blowers, fans, and control systems, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will develop preventative maintenance schedules, maintain accurate work records, and collaborate with other maintenance personnel to minimize downtime and improve system

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an HVAC technician, with a focus on industrial systems and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC principles, including thermodynamics, psychometrics, and heat transfer.
• Experience with cooling tower maintenance and repair, including water treatment and chemical handling.
• Electrical and control systems experience, including troubleshooting and repair.
• Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies, such as vibration analysis and thermal imaging.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and with heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment, including cooling tower maintenance and annual maintenance.
• Troubleshoot electrical and control systems and diagnose issues to minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to optimize system performance.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, and repairs.
• Collaborate with maintenance personnel to coordinate repairs and minimize impact on plant operations.
• Provide training and guidance to junior technicians as needed.
