U.S. Facilities, Inc. seeks an experienced HVAC Mechanic for our Merion, PA location. The role focuses on operation, monitoring, maintenance, and repair of building HVAC systems in a 24x7 life sciences/pharma setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of commercial/industrial HVAC in central plant environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with BAS systems and monitoring.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and manuals.
• EPA Section 608 certification or ability to obtain within defined period.
• Basic computer skills (email, CMMS, BAS interfaces).
• Ability to obtain site access/clearances and work in the U.S.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and equipment.
• Monitor and troubleshoot air handlers, exhaust, MAU, VAV, and FCU units.
• Perform preventive maintenance: filters, belts, lubrication, cleaning.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues on HVAC equipment.
• Assist with refrigerant management per EPA regulations.
• Use BAS to monitor performance, adjust setpoints, and troubleshoot alarms.
• Support startup/shutdown and seasonal changeovers for central plant.
• Document work and PMs in CMMS; read P&IDs and manuals.
• Coordinate with plumbing, electrical, and controls staff.
• Follow safety procedures including lockout/tagout and PPE.
